[IZN] [SDG TALKS: SERIES 9]
The Engineering and Computing Academy of Science and Technology (ECOAST) successfully hosted the 9th series of SDG Talks on January 28, 2025, focusing on SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
The program kicked off with an opening prayer by Ms. Kristine Joy F. Natividad, Governor of the ECOAST Student Council, followed by a welcoming address from Engr. Mary Joy Amante, Program Head of ECOAST.
The first speaker, Mr. Daniel Villano, explored the role of innovation in advancing sustainable information technology, while Engr. Jay-R Galwardo presented insights on sustainable engineering practices.
The event culminated with a Project Showcase featuring innovative student outputs from ECOAST, highlighting the school’s commitment to creativity and sustainability. Participants also took part in the Pledge of Commitment to Sustainability, marking their dedication to making a positive impact, which was symbolized by signing the SDG Commitment Wall with palm prints.
