PADYAK on SAN FABIAN

A quick trip to San Fabian, Pangasinan beach was the activity of the PanpacificU Bikers Club. But such Sunday morning ride has a purpose. It was to share insights on RA 9003, plant coconut seedlings and coastal clean updrive.

The group was greeted by officials of San Fabian Municipality and of Brgy. Mabilao, also in San Fabian. Led by Kgd. Francisco R. Aspiras, Sanggunian Member-Committee on Environmental Protection and Waste Management) and Sanggunian Member Ruben R. Ochoco, the bikers gave a short exchange about implementation of the RA 9003 or the Waste Management Act. Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President, Mary Ruth Victoria H. Agbayani gave a short background about San Fabian.

On the other hand, several Criminology students led by Cdt Jasper Adrian Bacalzo and Cdt Robert Kurt Justin Cruz donated coconut seedlings. Since coconut is the most stable tree near coastal areas and mostly available in tropical countries, criminology students decided to gather donations for future endeavors. Maritime students also joined today's program since coastal clean up originally is their program. Dr. Engelbert Pasag (PanpacificU Chief Operating Officer), Mr. John Patrick Gomez (shipboard training officer), and Dr. Edgar Nicolas (criminology head) were also present and ensured the success of the activity and safety of all the bikers.

Lastly, thanks too to the efforts of David B. Agbayani, Punong Barangay and Brgy Kgd Priscilla Consolacion for organizing the event.
